What working with a German production partner actually looks like
Most international clients arrive with the same three concerns: language, distance and control. Here is how each of them is handled in practice, so you know what you are buying before the first call.
Language. Briefings, treatments, scripts, on-set direction and review rounds all run in fluent English. Nothing is written in German first and translated afterwards, which is where meaning usually gets lost. If your legal or compliance team needs the final script in German as well, that is a deliverable, not a workaround.
Distance. You do not have to be on set. A remote client review is a normal part of our workflow: you see the setup before the shoot, you get a live feed or dailies during it, and you approve cuts through a browser link with time-coded comments. Clients who do want to attend get one contact person for the entire trip.
Control. One company handles concept, shoot and post. There is no agency in front of a production house in front of a freelance editor, so there is no chain of handovers where your feedback gets diluted. The same team that takes your briefing signs off the final grade, which is also how our creative film production process is set up.
Where we shoot from, and what that means for your schedule
We are based in Erlangen, in the Nuremberg metropolitan region. That is not a marketing detail, it is a logistics advantage. Nuremberg sits close to the geographic centre of Germany: Munich, Frankfurt and Stuttgart are all within roughly two to three hours by road or ICE, and Nuremberg Airport connects to the European hubs directly.
For a multi-site shoot this changes the maths. A crew that travels out and back the same day does not bill hotel nights, and a two-location day stops being a two-day job. If your German subsidiaries or plants are spread across the south, we are already in the middle of them.
We also shoot outside Germany. Productions in Austria, Switzerland and the wider EU run with the same core team, extended locally where it makes sense.
What we produce for international clients
Corporate and brand films for websites, trade fairs and sales, usually two to three minutes, built to survive being watched with the sound off. This is the bulk of our corporate video production work.
Product and technology films, often for engineering and medical technology clients. Precision matters here: if a technical process is shown incorrectly, a specialist audience notices in seconds and stops trusting the rest.
Recruiting and employer branding films. Candidates research a company before they apply. Employees speaking in their own words carry more weight than any job advert.
Event, live and streamed formats, including town halls, product launches and hybrid conferences, where there is no second take.
Testimonials and interview series, shot as a batch so one production day yields months of content.
Our clients are international corporations and their German subsidiaries, largely in industrial engineering, electronics and medical technology, alongside mid-sized manufacturers with export markets.
Our own LED virtual production studio
We operate our own LED wall with camera tracking. For an international client the practical benefit is simple: environments that would otherwise mean a location scout, a travel day and a weather risk are built in camera, on a single studio day.
Light, time of day and background stay identical across every take, which matters when a series of films has to look like one series a year apart. The technical detail is on our virtual production studio in Germany page.
Questions from international clients
Can you invoice a company outside Germany?
Yes. For EU business customers with a valid VAT ID we invoice under the reverse charge procedure. Non-EU clients are invoiced without German VAT.
Who arranges permits and locations?
We do, as part of pre-production. Filming permits in Germany are handled city by city and need lead time, so the earlier a location is fixed, the fewer surprises there are.
How long does a production take?
A single corporate film typically runs four to eight weeks from briefing to final delivery, depending on approval rounds on your side. Studio-based productions are usually at the faster end because there is no scouting phase.
What do we need to deliver to you?
A goal, an audience and a decision maker who can approve. Everything else, including script, casting, voiceover and subtitles, can come from us.
